Who I Am in the Digital World

I don't consider myself, in any way, digitally savvy. I am more of a traditional fine artist and don't have a large background in digital software with the exception of basic (and i mean basic) Photoshop, Illustrator, and digital photography. My artistic strengths are in drawing, mixed media, and sculpture and I am majoring in Fine Art.
The influences for my art are 1800's prints and newspapers, nature, and my life experiences. In my spare time I am an Intelligence Analyst with the New Jersey National Guard, a volunteer firefighter for Millstone Fire Co., a bartender, and a full-time student. My involvement in my community and my deployment to Iraq in 2005 greatly influence my artwork, but so does my childhood. Even if in an abstract or vague way, my artwork is 99% of the time a self-portrait.
